I have been tattooing lips since 1991 and I won't do lip liners alone without filling in the lips because they look bad - especially if a dark or bright color is used.

I would go somewhere else, seriously, to do some corrective work on the line and blend in some color on the rest of the lips.

Be sure that "someone" has a lot of lip experience and you see photos of HEALED work - they always seem to show right after, and you can't tell a thing from that.

If you didn't go to a cosmetic tattooist,
you made a made a mistake.
You are now going to have to wait 'til
the tattoo is completely healed before
you can decide what to do.
Depending on how deep the tattooist
went, it may not fade at all.

Since the skin of your lips is much more delicate and exfoliates much more often than the skn on the rest of your body, it will fade eventually. To speed this up, use a gentle exfoliator (like a suger or salt scrub) on your lips every other day. Good luck, and be careful when you get inked next time!

It takes 4 to 6 weeks to see the final result so dont worry there is a chance it can be come lighter.
