If you believe solely based off of the Warm Fuzzy, then you are a sheep, Apologists are there to make all these sheep feel a little bit smarter than a sheep.

Lol, actually my answer is completely bogus, the real reason is, people accept it through emotions first, and then try to logically justify it later. Instead of looking at the facts first and then drawing conclusions, they make the conclusions first and then bend the facts until they fit the conclusions. They have just declared Mormonism to be truth (the warm fuzzy told them so), so now they have to force the science to fit that claim.

There is such a thing as a Mormon apologist? That person certainly has his/her work cut out for them. At least with Christianity, the people, places, and events can be verified through history, or in their current existence. But every supposed city, civilization, event and person in the book of Mormon has no proof whatsoever. How can the huge cities spoken about in central/south America have no archaeological evidence of its existence anywhere? No character is mentioned in third party evidence? Entire civilizations have left no trace behind? No event has left any artifacts? What possibly can the Mormon apologist talk about?

Mormons not only need apologists to explain what the warm fuzzies, but naval engineers to explain why the Jaredites didn't sink and drown off the African coast.

Or perhaps that is one of the Great LDS items of faith: Just believe it, don't try to figure it out...

At a certain point you are absolutly correct. Rather than argue to defend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints it's better to share your beliefs. Only the Spirit can convert. I know the church is true. I hope that if you or anyone reading this is searching for the true church that you would visit the web site below and speak to the missionaries of the Lord.

It should be enough, but with anti-Mormons out there spreading their lies about us, and with authority they don't have, we need apologists.

Can you quote that? I seemed to have misplaced my Book of Mormon. Oh, yeah, I remember. I burned it.
