Best place to stay in New York during the holidays?

Any hotel suggestions for a family of 4 wanting to stay in or near the Manhattan area during the Thanksgiving holiday?

By best, you mean the most economical, then try the Pennsylvania Hotel on 34th Street, right across from Madison Square Garden. It's not elegant, but not expensive compared to other hotels in Manhattan.
