im going to washington DC next weekend for 2 nights and i want to know what to pack.

When I visited, I noticed that the weather patterns change a lot. Make sure that you wear shorts and light clothing for during the day, but bring a sweater or hoodie to keep you warm if it chills a little at night. Be sure to have TONS of water with you...you will get thirsty! And have some sunglasses with you so you can see in the blaring sun. And wear shoes that are comfy because you'll be walking your butt off! Make sure you have a camera with you, because there are picture opportunities everywhere.
And MOST importantly....
....bring a SMALL purse with you. In DC, security is a big issue, and large bags get a lot of attention. Bring a small bag with you!

Ohh! This is the perfect question. I just visited DC for 2 nights too! If you are planning to walk around, you need very confortable walking shoes. *I do not suggest flip-flops [ trust me it DOES NOT work well!] * and a small bag/purse. Just for the nessecities. You might also want to print out a map of DC if you want to know your way around a little better. Then again, there are many brouchers that have maps, but I would suggest having one handy the first day. You also need to take money. If you get too tired to walk back to your hotel/car you can take a shuttle. You will want a camera too. There are many different things in DC you want to get some good shots. Trust Me. If you take all these things, you'll have a wonderful trip.

It is cold there and there are a lot of neat places that you can walk to, so bring a hat, gloves, scarf and a warm jacket. Visit the Old Post Office...it is a cool place to shop.

i used to live there, and it gets kinda chilly even if the day is REALLY hot, so you are gana want to bring a lite sweater, and it is really hot during the day, so u should wear shorts, short sleve, and sunglasses, Camera for the sites, and comfy shoes...lots of walking. it's really pretty there! have fun!

it's hot and humid so dress for that. BUT your number accessory - UMBRELLA! This place has random thunder/rain storms so be prepared.
