Not really. I mean how can you tell when you're compatible with a person when you haven't met him/her. His/her appearance only caught your attention.

I do not believe love at first site because it would only mean the person is shallow. If you see someone and fall for them, you are not going by personality and the inside, which is what really counts. Love at first site is a completely shallow phrase. Plus, seeing the person and never talking to them before you decide on if you love them or not is silly. If you don't know the person how can you fall for them unless you love their appearance. Well, appearance doesn't last forever...What happens when they are older?

It's not likely. Love at first sight started off as just a nice romantic, fairy tale idea that well all grow up listening too and some of us feel that the reality that we saw in Cinderella will transcend the story and wind up in real life. But the reality is much different than that. Love is a complicated thing and needs time and experience to develop. The likely hood that people could instantly fall in love once they laid eyes on each other, is pretty much nothing.
That is not to say that we as people don't have the emotional will power to do it, obvious enough of us have the nerve to imagine it otherwise the phenomena would have died out by now. But the logistics aren't likely to work out. In order for there to be love at first site, two people with perfect complimenting traits and features would have to some how cross paths, and that isn't likely gonna happen.
People have an amazing ability to imagine all these ideas, but reality has a way of raining on our parade. We're all stuck in a room with a bunch of people and we have to get by with the people in that room we call our lives. People may come and leave it and the room itself may change all together, but it isn't likely to happen that the perfect, right person who could fit you perfectly is going to wind up in your room.

Even if love at first site exists, the love will be gone by the second time you look.

i think it takes more than one "site" to actually fall in love with someone. at first site i would say it's more of lust than love.

i believe in infatuation at first sight or very strong physical attraction, but true love can only come after you get to know someone.
