my car went from 22 miles per gallon of fuel to 13 miles per gallon of fuel is there something wrong with my car

Check the air filter. It is most likely in need of replacing. Once it gets clogged, then your car will run rich. Then if you run too rich too long you will need to replace your 02 sensor as well.

If it was consistantly 22 mpg and dropped to 13 with no change in driving habits, driving routes, and all upkeep was maintained, then there could be a problem there.

did it consistantly get 22? had it gotten 22 for the last 10 tanks?

did you do the exact same commute in the same weather?

how are you calculating economy?

Yeah, get a tune up. Pump up tires and stuff like that.
