A friend of mine that I'm visiting out of state this weekend invited me to her friend's Jack & Jill party and said she'd get me a ticket- what's that about? What can I expect at this type of party?

It means that both the bride and groom will be there.

Most bridal showers only include the bride, but a Jack & Jill shower means that both the bride AND groom are going to be honored.

Typically a Jack and Jill SHOWER is when both male and female friends and family are invited to the wedding shower, instead of the traditional all women.

BUT if it is a Jack and Jill PARTY, that is totally different, sounds like they are combining the bachelor and bachelorette parties.

I am sure you will have fun!

A 'Jack & JIll' shower is one where there are both men and women attending. There tends to be more drinking of alcohol, and slightly 'racier' games ... and since you don't know the couple, you may give a 'token gift' like a $5 bill in a nice card.

Jack and Jill (party) is a bachelor party and bridal shower/bachelorette party combined with guests of either or both the bride and/or groom.

A Jack & Jill party is basically like a bachelor and bachelorette party together. It is hard to say what to expect because it depends on the couple.

Jack & Jill events are advantageous - yet "advertising" tickets is cheesy. a tub desires no longer be something better than getting inclusive of acquaintances to have fun the drawing close wedding ceremony - there's no longer something cheesy approximately this.

I don't know about a Jack and Jill shower, but I've heard of a couple's shower. Maybe she's talking about a party for the Jack and Jill Club. Is your friend Black?

it means that both the bride and the groom will be at the shower. So most likely you can bring your husband/BF with you. a kinda couples wedding shower. I hate those but some people like that nowadays.
