My office manager saw it advertised and bought it to check it out. We tried it on some old lenses in the junk drawer and the results were.... well can you imagine what a lens would look like if you painted clear nail polish on it? Scratches gone but lens absolutely ruined and unuseable.

I have heard that either that product or another similar one has been the object of some consumer lawsuits. See the link below for a journalist's view.

Hi, birdgirl: My brother had either this product or something similar to it. It really did work excellently. He just said that he had to use a lot of it for a small project (so a little doesn't go a long ways) and he said you have to use some elbow grease as well ....LOL.

Anyways, if you're interested, I can ask him what the name of the product was that he used.

P.S. I just looked this up on ebay and they have an exact same kit auctioning off now for less than half of this price. It has about 16 hrs or so left on the auction.
One other thing-I believe that this cannot be used on glasses that have the "anti-glare" coating.

Thanks :)

Totally bogus product...it won't stick to the new hydrophobic anti-reflective coatings. Also, what type of plastic are you trying to repair? Regular plastic, polycarbonate, 1.60 hi index, 1.67 hi index, 1.70 hi index?

You cannot buff plastic lenses to take scratches out and you certainly cannot use a nail polish type product to fill in scratches. And if you try to remove this junk with nail polish remover, the acetone in the remover will most likely crack the lenses.

I saw a consumer report on TV about something like this. According to them, not only does it not work, but it actually made things worse to the point of ruining the glasses.
