Alot of people are complaining about the war in Iraq. They want us to withdraw and they call for peace. What do they think will happen as a result of withdrawing?

You're asking hippies to conjure up a cognitive answer?

Best of luck to ya.

Hippies? Are there any left? I suppose that followers of the Grateful Dead might count, but I'm not even sure the Dead are playing publicly any more.

This childish tendency to label people who don't agree with your political opinion is a characteristic of the neocon and Republican answerers in Yahoo Answers, especially in the Politics & Government section.

I'll try and answer the question. I have to admit to being a left-winger, and I'm not sure what road the U.S. should take any more in Iraq. This is such a massive disaster that I don't think that there is any easy way to deal with it any more. The U.S. is screwed no matter what it does. The only thing that America can really gain out of this whole adventure is that it realizes how foolish it is to barge in anywhere like a drunken cowboy.

Muslims of all sects will hold hands with their brethren Kurds; forming a circle and sing,"Kumbaya."

D'oh!

Actually, the Kurds and the various sects of Muslim will have to:

1) reconcile their differences and form a coalition government;

2) form three separate States; or

3) keep on fighting for as they have been doing for years.

With the US in the middle buffering the sects, Iraq will never be forced to work things out on their own.

If I hated America I would want it to continue destroying its military and bankrupting itself and destroying its economy. Idiots make me think that America committing suicide like the USSR did in Afghanistan might not be such a bad thing. By the way, why aren't you over there fighting in Bush's War if you like it so much. Another hypocrite. Ho hum, big surprise.

The same thing that's going to happen anyway if we keep doing the same pointless crap for another 5 years.

We either need to do what it takes to win...which is very much more than we are doing now...or just leave now. There's no point halfassing it.

I don't think anyone really cares about what will happen to Iraq.
