Hi! My friend just had a western wedding. Here are some ideas-
Wedding flower arrangements:
Yellow sunflowers in a big clear glass vase with lemons in the vase. It's beautiful and also smells great!:) She used twine as ribbons!
She also used a lot of cattails (flowers) to decorate. She had hay bales for decorations, too. She used white picket fences as backgrounds for pictures with water pails hanging over the fence and sunflowers were in the pails. She used lanterns in place of candles. Engraved bandanas were given out. For favors, she gave out beer cuzzies with the wedding date and their names printed on them. She also used big "cow bells" for decorations along with lasso's and spurs. At the reception, the DJ played alot of country music along with cajun music (we're from south louisiana).
Best of Luck to you...Congrats!

A sunflower, I agree, would be a great single flower bouquet.
I would suggest hitting the craft store or some web sites like oriental trading company that sell in bulk and I am sure you will find lots of country western themed items.
A neat centerpiece would be flowers coming out of a boot. I bet you could find old boots at a thift store or yard sales and clean them up and put in some silk flowers.
I have seen spur place card holders somewhere...rope could make great napkin holders. Also some thick rope could be used to drape as decoration (instead of tulle). Don't forget the giant Texas Stars as a decoration! And BBQ would be a great meal idea.
Theme weddings are so much fun! I'm sure you will find a lot of ideas!

i agree, sunflowers would be great. Another option is daisies. You could do yellow or white & i think it would go really well with the whole "country" theme. Really any type of wildflower would work beautifully!
I saw a little red wagon used once in a wedding & it was adorable. Maybe you could use it to put flowers in just for decoration or if you have 2 flower girls, 1 could pull the other in the wagon while they dropped petals down the aisle.
On theknot.com I saw ideas using galvanized buckets for centerpieces (filled with flowers like daisies) or as a favor to put candy in.
Those are my favorite ideas...i would stick with really simple ideas that convey a country feel to them. Good luck!

A large rose, sunflower, why not have a small handheld bouquet that is done with cattails, wildflowers and a couple of mums and sunflowers. You can get these for a reasonable price at my website. I also have a few cowboy boots left that were used at a past wedding for centerpieces and left over I can give you at a great price.

I went to a country wedding many years ago. It was adorable. The bride wore an old style country girl dress, the table had little metal buckets with candies and bird seed in little sack (kind of like feed sacks, but tiny)... They were so cute :) They also had some square dancing at the reception. Country wasn't and isn't my thing, but I still thought that it was all very nicely done.

I like poppies or gerbra dasies. They are casual but still very elegant and come in a range of colors.
Centerpieces....browse thrift shops and garage sales and find some old boots. Cut the top off a two liter bottle and slide it inside to keep it waterproof...makes such a cute vase.
Make napkins out of checkered cloth and tie with rope or raffia
Instead of the usual gift tables use stacks of hay bales for the cake, food, gifts covered with a small cloth to keep it elegant
Use harvest decor items, for instance unpopped popcorn in the bottom of votives actually looks really nice and wheat makes a lovely addition to flowers.
For the escort cards find a few sticks and make a rustic stand, stick them in hay, or hang them on a rope with clothes pins.
Of course you need to have country type food like BBQ.
Serve plenty of lemonade and tea :)

A rose would be nice. Simple and elegant, depending on how country you want to go, you could use a yellow rose.

A sunflower would be really cute!
They are large enough that it wouldn't look too tiny, and they're kinda country-looking too.
