ask her about when she was young or about herself etc. my grandma is always asking me about my life tell her what's going on in her life, or suggest going out and getting icecream or seeing a movie otherwise sit and watch t.v. with her or read books/magazines maybe bake if she's interested, otherwise just sit and enjoy her company maybe with your ipod.

Why do people always go for the cooking grandma's bit?! Its like they all picture a blue haired woman wearing an apron making cookies all day!
Go shopping!!! Go get a snowcone. Go swimming at night..
Take a walk in a park.

lol i give you the props for the "nothing inappropriate" part.
You could ask your grandma how to cook or bake some dishes that she knows, talk about you life and school with her, read some magazines together,go out for some coffee, help her out around the house

Have a spa day. If you can't go to one then do it at home. Have a facial, manicure, pedicure, etc. Get dressed up and go out to dinner to show the world how beautiful you two are. Or, Have her rent a comedy/horror/romance from when she was your age to see if you would like it too. Rent a movie about the era she was groing up and ask her if that's the way things were. Or, help her create a Yahoo Personal account and see if she meets anyone.

If your grandmother is anything at all like mine, she'll get fiendishly sadistic pleasure out of destroying you on the checker board. Have fun!
