I'm 14 and thinking of joining so what exactly do you do in it? Does it teach marksmanship skills with REAL guns and not bb guns?

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps is an organization run by the Navy League of the United States. It has no official connection to the Navy Department or the Department of Defense. But, the Navy does cooperate and afford their groups access to certain bases and ships. That might include using Navy rifle and pistol ranges, but there would be conditions of "hold harmless" agreements which parents might not love.
