In my dream, I am walking through a forest. And as I am walking, I can see myself searching and clearing through the the brushes and greenery when all of a sudden I see something that interests me in a very still lake. This water was not moving or babling. Just clear, still water. So I draw in closer and closer and I see laying in the water a big Lion. This Lion was laying on it's side. It appeared to be in a period of rest. It wasn't sleeping as I didn't see any chest movements. But it was just laying there. And I just peered into the water, looking at this big lion (male) in the water.
Can someone tell me what this could mean for my life? I am puzzled at the thought of finding a Lion laying on its side , in water, in the (what seemed to be) forest. Please help me, what could this mean for me?

The forest you are walking in represents trial and tribulations. A period in your life where you are going through the wilderness. The lake you saw represents a place of peace and refreshment and a place where you can obtain necessary provision in your life. Up to this point, your dream is telling you that you are coming out of trials into a place of rest. The Lion you saw actually represent the devil. And the reason you see him laying on his side in the water is because when you reach this point in your life he will not be able to touch you for a while, because he is subdued.

When you say the lion is lying on its side, was it defeated/ hurt?
Calm still water in dreams means tranquility and peace of mind. Lions are certainly strong and powerful. Maybe there have been some serious issues in your life that you have had to deal with and they have left you feeling powerless? If so it seems that the dream is telling you to pick up and keep moving; the power and strength are "lying within".

water in dreams always symbolizes emotions, and according to dreammoods.com, the lion can symbolize "great strength, aggression and power. You will overcome your emotions and/or difficulties." and being in a forest symbolizes, "To dream that you are in or walking through the forest, signifies a transitional phase."
So, reading all of this makes me want to ask... have you been having any emotional problems? I think this is telling you that things are now smoothing out, that you will have (or have had) the strength to overcome them.
