I don't know what state you live in but i believe that it depends on the degree of the felony and the nature of the felony. Like if it's a felony 3 or higher than I would probably say the answer would be no unless you can get it expunged. Hope that helps!

Nope. I hate to tell you this but must college healthcare programs (ultrasound, nursing, respiratory care, etc) will not allow any type of felony without a 10 yr past. Now I am sure their are exceptions to the rule, but when I went through college, you were pretty much stuck. I knew a lot people who went almost all the way through and then when clinicals came around they got screwed because of a past run in with the law. Good luck!

It depends on what state you live in and how long ago it was. For example to work in the health field in Michigan, any felony within the past 15 years automatically bars you from employment. Call and ask your local college.

no longer frequently. To be user-friendly, it relies upon on what precisely your conviction is. while you're even widely used right into a nursing software, the medical institution/business enterprise in charge or your clinicals/labs has each and every perfect to question your checklist, and refuse you placement. meaning, you isn't allowed to end your software. basically they might inform you for particular. specially (for good reason), every physique with a criminal checklist might have themes attempting to get licenses in healthcare. back, it relies upon on precisely WHAT your checklist incorporates. Stealing a automobile as a 14 year previous revolt nitwit or getting caught with an oz... of weed isn't the comparable as committing homicide. you will have an excellent gamble, and you won't have any issues. yet i think of it particularly is probable going to be an uphill conflict. some faculties won't settle for/place every physique with a checklist era. it particularly is the fee you pay for a intense value mistake. you're in a position to artwork in scientific transcription or a appropriate container that would not contain direct affected person care. good success to you!

Yes. Each case is handled separately. Call a local nursing school and make an appointment to speak with a member of their administration for more information.

RN = Registered Nurse = License
Felony record due to drug law infraction?
RN License cancelled. . . end of rights to 'practice' nursing.

it might vary between the states, but i think in most cases, no. they might be able to do a deep investigation on it and keep you on surveillance though and if you pass through you'll be ok.
