I am not sure all the legal steps to take. But, I do know one big way to stop it ,is for all to stop going to places such as this. WHen they are hit financially, it will stop them. As long as ppl go into things like this, they will continue. But, we can also pray, and continue to pray. WE must ask God to stop this whole industry, as you are right, it is cruel and wrong. WE must ask God to stop this in the name ofJesus Christ, to break the curse and bondage this evil sin comes from, to give the ppl involved a heart of compassion for mankind and also animals. When you see a place like this, drive by and rebuke it in the name of the Lord, and bond the curse that it is under. In the name of the Lord, ask God to loose the blessings He has to fill them with hearts of love and compassion. and when possible, actually lay your hands on the building of a place like this and do the same thing.
Same with porn shops, sex places, abortion clincs, all of it. WE have dominion over sin by the blood Jesus shed at the cross. Lets use it to rid this nation of all of this evil. and we can do it. The more involved, the sooner it is done.
If you know any of owners of these dogs, do the same thing over them. Pray for them compassion instead of greed and cruelty. If a nation will do this, we can change things.
I am with you, if there are also other steps to take in the legal process, then get some ppl that will just do that, and wont give up till its stopped. I have seen films on this long ago and what was done to those dogs was awful. beatings, and starving them to hype them up. HOw can mankind smile no matter how much money they make , knowing anyone else or even an animal had to suffer.
Do unto others what we would want done to us. I dont think even one dog owner woudl want to be treated like they treats those dogs.

If it's already illegal in your state, the best you can do is report any "events" to the authorities.
If there aren't specific laws in your state, or the authorities turn a blind eye, get involved with one of the lobby groups in your state. You don't have to agree with all their positions to work with them on a specific issue.
If your state doesn't have felony cruelty laws, join those campaigns too. Anything that gives a meaningful penalty to those that mistreat animals.

The only positive about the Michael Vick case is that it shines a light on the whole disgusting industry.
People who are caught should get the maximum penalty, and laws should be tougher.

Unfortunately, it's like any other illegal activity. It'll always take place under the radar. The best we can do is have the government keep as close an eye as possible on dogfighting rings and support the stiffest penalties as possible for offenders.

Change the laws. Mandatory prison sentences (LONG ones), and enormous fines. Begin setting some good examples of what can and will happen.

i think of the Mexican government replace into the main suited clarification for them desirous to pass away their united states. The poverty and corruption makes it impossible for any of them to make a respectable residing. nevertheless, the U. S. isn't Mexico and to fly a Mexican flag on the White house is thoroughly absurd.
