Death of a President due to 9/11 could have changed the attittudes of the American people against Iraq. It is a very different scenario with regards to what is happening these days.

The Iraq war had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack except that the U.S.A. decided it wasn't going to wait around for someone to make the first strike again. It was more about the violations of 16 U.N. Security Council Resolution's. And the fact that Saddam wouldn't let the U.N. Verify that it had disposed of the WMD's which from most accounts was sent to Syria when the 4th I.D. wasn’t allowed into Turkey to shut them off. But to answer you’re Question, NO! Even if Al Gore was president, he would have done the same thing since he would have had the same Intel, but the media and the Republicans would have backed him better and it would have been over by now. The terrorist are just playing to the media and the Democrats now. This is keeping them energized.

I agree with others that say if the president had been killed in 9-11 we wouldn't be in Iraq. The only reason we are in Iraq is for the oil. If Osama is responsible for 9-11 we should have never gone into Iraq. Bush and his henchmen only want their businesses to thrive so their incomes can go up. The hell with the American people and what they want is his way of thinking.

Whether or not the is true I do not know. But as many times as this has been said, Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. By coming to Iraq we lost our focus and Bin Laden who was responsible is still alive. Being in Iraq, I still don't know why we are here. Plus whether you agree with bush or not, Iraq's own PM says we can leave. Its just like mom making you clean your own room. The Iraqi's are never going to do things on there own if wee continue to do it for them.

Here's a better question for you:
If Saddam Hussein's attempted assassination of George Bush Sr had been successful, would Clinton have done more than toss a few cruise missiles at Iraq?

I'm not a politician, nor a policy maker, I subscribe to no party, nor will I subscribe to the politics of hate. My interest is national security, not the politics of a party.

If the president had been killed and the vice president had lived I think things would have turned out about the same. People were about as fired up as they could be after 9-11. It is the actions of the leadership that has wasted that energy.

No, no one would be wanting to pull out of Iraq because without Bush to illegally invade, we wouldn't BE in Iraq.
