Evolution works best when it is guided. If a blind man tried to solve a Rubik's cube, and he made one move a second, the Universe would be over before he got it solved. But if a sighted man who knew how to solve it, stood behind him and told him what moves to make, it could be solved in a few minutes. Unguided evolution would take too long to create a Life form as sophisticated as a Blue Whale or a Human. The Universe would be over first, but if evolution is guided it can be done.

It's very interesting to me how a group of people have categorized themselves based on whom they believe don't exist. Plus they claim they hate HIm...

So, where are you getting your data from? How long would it take unguided evolution to come up with something as sophisticated as a blue whale or a human? What variables lead you to determine this? Or are you just making an assertion and hoping no one asks for you to back it up? Or perhaps you'd say it would take billions and billions of years? 4 billion years is an awfully long time.

Evolution is, in a sense, guided by the process of natural selection. Granted, evolution is just a process - it doesn't have any end goal in mind, nor is it some ladder that is continually progressing upwards. Life is more like a liquid spilled onto the ground. It just gathers in the cracks, fitting it. Some descendents of species grew more complex, others stayed effectively the same. They just went with what worked. It's really quite simple and it doesn't need any sort of guidance.

Wow.... try reading some books other than the Creationist stuff you have been... try The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins, on the NYTimes Best Seller List all winter, and Why Darwin Matters, by Michael Shermer for starters.

The last one was written by a guy who had a very interesting journey... went all thru undergrad school and grad school a bible thumpin' Creationist (his words). Then he took a little evening seminar called Genesis and Darwin.....to find out really what the evolutionists were all about... he like you, read only things from their literature... And guess what? For him it was as if someone turned on a light.... And he confesses, his discovery made him feel as if he had committed a murder!!!!!! He saw that the creationists were using such things as, "If we are descended from apes, why are there still apes?" ( and of course the answer is, that both have a common ancestor... they are as modern as are we). As the class continued, they all met after the class at the local bar discussing all sorts of issues.... He discovered that all of the converging lines of any of the sciences (zoology, biology, embryology, comparative anatomy, etc.,) came to the same conclusion...evolution did happen.

If you read pretty well, try either or both of these. If you don't read well, don't bother... the language would be beyond your abilities. I'm not trying to be insulting, just truthful. Tho most people don't find them difficult, if you don't yet have a hs education and/or read only at the 6th grade level.... these would indeed be too difficult...

nicely this won't be rather correct to the question yet "God" and the bible are VERY loosely and selectively (because of the fact it has some loopy stuff in there and maximum of it is lacking) based on the ineffective sea scrolls and that i've got faith evolution is plenty greater probably then god even nevertheless the situations for existence are incredibly uncommon. additionally diverse subspecies style of teach that there has been some style of evolution in earth. DNA mutations have been recorded and handed on via dissimilar generations of animals

evolution is full of "mysterious" gaps. God has no gaps. His word is true and proven every day. and yeh rubiks cubes can be solved behind peoples backs and with blindfolds. do you want 2 throw in another one of those "smart kid" words there? i dont know about anyone else here but i do at least speak for myself when i say if you are going to argue about evolution and God, please go find some sort of science club, or go to the mythology section since that is what you think God is, maybe someone will back you up there. though it is not going to change anything.

You should try to educate yourself about the process that you seem so desperate to insert your god into.

The fact is, in case after case, biology shows us that it was guided by natural selection and has no direction, goal, or foreknowledge of future adaptations. Our backbones and the placement of the birth canal were not "designed" with upright walking humans in mind. Although they have altered as best they could in a short time, they were quite obviously adaptations for four-legged locomotion and smaller brained animals.

If there was a god in control of the process, he is either a very stupid engineer or likes inflicting random suffering and death.

The "guide" is natural selection. This is the mistake you guys constantly make. Evolution is not random. It works to an exceptionally efficient and beautiful mechanism. And there is no intelligence in sight to guide it. Try again.

Really? Cuz there is a guy on YouTube who does the Rubik's cube behind his back in 30 seconds... same as a blind man doing it.

YOURE WRONG! Again.....

I agree. How does an idiot lizard only rubbing a couple of braincells together determines that he needs to grow a complex series of bone and muscle to become a bird? There would be 10 bizillion flappy thing failure before the final product comes out. So where is the fossile record of the 10 bizillion flappy things? I like this divine guidance.

Evolution is a process that takes aeons. The earth is billions of years old. That's long enough.

I wish that people who ask these questions would take the time to actually learn some science beforehand.

You are most ignorant of " The Blind Watchmaker ", natural selection.

Way to dig up that blindfolded and behind the back cubing, guys.
You, questioner, now look like an even greater big, fat fool!!
