Cont. I was told by the interviewer there was 14 positions needed to fill. I'm asking since I just saw the re-posting does that mean I didn't get it or of those that were interview, there was not enough to fill the 14 position requirement. It's really bugging me and I wanted this job. I was going to give them 14 days before I send a follow up letter but now I'm not sure. If I didn't get it, shouldn't I received something in the mail by now. I would think after 3 interviews and the last one was the final (phone). Is there a way to see if a background check has been done on you. Someone please let me know, thanks.

Give them a call it gives you another chance to express your desire for the job. Be sure to ask directly for the job. Employers like that. It shows that someone is direct and not afraid of saying what they mean. Also be sure to thank them for their consideration no matter how it turns out.
Even if you don't get the job. I would send a letter thanking them and asking to be considered if another opening came open. That can pay off several ways. I once got a job I had not even applied for because the lady that did the interview recommended me to a friend and gave her my number.

Many companies do not send out letters if you weren't hired. I would call and follow-up. Either of the reasons you gave for the repost are possible, another is that they may not have had time to cancel the ad before it reran.

If they were trying to fill that many positions, then seeing the job reposted doesn't necessarily mean you didn't get one of them, just means that they still need more people than they've found.

Good luck.

give them a call. youll find the asnwer right there and then rather than waiting around as to know if you are hired or not and to stop you from assuming they didnt hire you.
