You should handle the clothing very carefully with gloves. If you don't have gloves, Some plastic sandwich or trash bags can work to move them to a wash machine. If you wash with regular detergent, add some baking soda or OxyClean to the warm to warmer, but not hot water, to get the soap to work in and the oil left behind of the poison Ivy. Do this a few times of complete cycles of washing. If you don't have a washer or just want to soak it in a disposable container or a leak-proof type of bag, Pour some Disinfecting Liquid like you use for cleaning that doesn't contain bleach/chlorine of any kind. Do this first with about a 1/4 cup of the liquid to a water covered dress for soaking. Stir or agitate slowly with a glove or something that can be thrown away. Do this for at least a half an hour to disinfect. Rinse with warm water a few times. *** here's a quote from a clinic: In addition, wash any other contaminated items, such as outdoor gear, garden tools, jewelry, shoes and even shoelaces, as soon as possible. If you must wait to wash any contaminated items, seal them up in a plastic bag or container to avoid contamination of other items. Dry cleaning will also get rid of urushiol. Good Luck!!!:>)
