Between being a Mormon or a Scientologist which one would you pick and why?

This is in no way an attempt to "bash" any religion, I was just asking for an oppinion as to which religion is more preferable. I associate and enjoy the company of members from both religions.
True I was raised mormon but haven't been a member for ten years and stopped going five years ago.

Mormon it is cheaper. You don't have to pay to become a member. Yes, I know that we pay tithes on our wages, but so do people of most religions. lol
I might be biased seeing as how I'm LDS already. Scientology would be cool if I could hang out with Tom Cruise. lol
Please look into a religion before you bash it, and that means asking mormons and scientologists about their beliefs, not just reading what people outside the religion think of it.
Why would you ask a baker who knew a nuclear physicist about nuclear physics?

I would choose neither. I have talked to people that were in Scientology. They are brain washed, and they have to sign over everything they own to them, and then work for $.75 a day. They lived in the same building I did. They are to keep to their own. Plus they are waiting for the mother ship to come in. Mormon is also a man made religion. They allow things that God said is not right. I would rather read the Bible and believe in it.

First of all what is a scientologist? Second if you are choosing between those two, why there are others out there. Lets say catholic for example... they are the base for living in our crazy world today. Where self concept is loving your family and neighbor and over coming evil! What exactly are you looking for? What churches are near to you. I would suggest looking around more.

I guess it would depend on why I was being forced to choose...
See, if I have to choose because we just figured out that only these two religions are true, then I would probably go with Mormonism...as weird as the beliefs are, at least the majority of Mormons seem to be very kind people...
However, if I was forced to choose because a Mormon held a gun to my head, Id pick the other...

If Tom Cruise is any indication of the typical scientologist I'd most definitely choose to be a Mormom - If The Osmonds are typical of Mormoms - well at least they have really white teeth.

Neither. Having a relationship with Jesus Christ is the only "religion" I know of that doesn't require earning your way to heaven by good works (which can't be done anyway).

It would depend on whether you accept the testimony of a Prophet of God or believe in the fiction of a science fiction writer. The founder of Scientology never claimed a revelation from God. And accepting LDS faith would require you to obtain your own testimony of the things that Joseph Smith claimed and taught through study and prayer.

that's a sucky choice...well in my opinion any religion would be a sucky choice but both of those religions in particular are run by sexual deviants so...i suppose i'd pick scientoligy.
i wouldn't want to be a mormon because i wouldn't want to start inbred cults in the middle of the desert...
did you know that allister crowly was speculated to have ritualistic molested and sexually sacrificed hundreds of little children...he was a very gross person.

Mormons. According to South Park, they're the ones that get to go to heaven.
Plus they have a hell of a choir.
