I dont get it.

Go into any fundie bookstore and thats all thats in there.

I know some will claim that everything they believe is from the bible but its not, its from some pastor.

Further what is the problem with following doctrine other than the bible. The bible isint God, it isint all of God. The church existed 300 years before the bible was formed and drew on techings and letters that are not in the bible.

No where is the bible does it say it is the sole authority. In fact is says tradition and teachings of church fathers are as equal to the bible and are to be used to interpret it.

Maybe thats why there ate 35,000 protestant denominations. Remember Jesus said you would know his followers because they are one.

Clearly he meant that Evangelicals were not his true followers (maybe a possible offshoot) but its clear that Catholics are the one true chruch.
Also stop riddiculing Jesus Mother, If you did it to mine I would kick your a@@ so just wait till you meet christ

Sorry to disappoint our Catholic-bashing friends, but even the "traditions" of the Church are firmly based in Scripture, or else they would not be a part of our Faith. And the Protestant claim that their doctrines and practices aren't based on tradition, only Scripture, is ridiculous. Anyone who's ever been to a Mass and then to a Lutheran or Episcopalian service can clearly see what's been "borrowed" from the Catholic liturgy.

And you're right: the bookstores are crowded with the teachings of people like John Hagee, Joel Osteen, Jesse DuPlantis, and the rest of the popular preachers. There's nothing wrong with reading their works or learning from them, but when you do, don't claim that your beliefs are straight from the Bible. They are a blend of Biblical and man-taught doctrines.

The Blessed Virgin has been insulted and ridiculed by Protestants enough. If a Protestant Christian can't bring him or herself to love her, the least they could do is respect the fact that she risked her own life to bring our Savior into this world. If an archangel called her, "Blessed among women," it stands to reason that we should honor her, too.

the bible plainly states that if anyone adds to or takes away from the book of rev. that the curses of that book shall be added unto him..the bible is the inspired word of God.catholics teach of a place called purgatory..the bible no where speaks of this, other than warning of false doctorines. the catholic pray to angels, and mother mary,,the bible plainly says thou shall have no gods before Me..it is an abomination to worship idols such as angels, and the mother mary..the bible says Jesus christ was and is the only perfect sacrifice for sin,,once for all sin,,,the catholic practice mass,,,this is crucifing Christ symbolicaly each time...hebrews 10;10....and the catholic pray to and worship the crucifix,,,this is idol worship itself..Jesus christ is at the right hand of the FATHER,,not on the cross..holding Jesus Christ continuosly up to contempt and public disgrace is exactly what the mass and the crucifix accomplish,,Jesus forbid praying repetitious prayers,,cotholics pray continuously to the rosary,,,did you know the satanic babylonians invented and perfected the use of the rosary ? Jesus is the way,the truth and eternal life,,not the pope, not the virgin mary, not some catholic,or baptist,or pentecostal,or morman or anyone else,,if you would do your history on the roman catholic church, specifically their doctrines, the only a@@ you ll want to kick will be your own,,, im not saying there wont be any catholics in heaven, denominations dont get us to heaven either,,,im saying alot of their doctorines are in error,,,,alot of people are being misled....no one, or no denomination is without fault or error..

Most of the Bible existed long before Christianity.

Besides, the Bible itself is "inspired of God and beneficial" -2 Timothy 3:16

Catholics base their whole form of worship on tradition, instead on the word of God found in the Bible.

I think it's time to lay down the swords.

It should be all about Jesus. Provoking strife isn't really a way to glorify Him....now is it?

You are right about the belief they have from pastors not from the bible. but they also say the truth about the tradition you follow.

Matthew 15:1" In reply he said to them: “Why is it YOU also overstep the commandment of God because of YOUR tradition? 4 For example, God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘Let him that reviles father or mother end up in death.’ 5 But YOU say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother: “Whatever I have by which you might get benefit from me is a gift dedicated to God,” 6 he must not honor his father at all.’ And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition. 7 YOU hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about YOU, when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me"
