Contact the credit bureaus and place an initial fraud alert on your credit files now. That way you can protect yourself if anyone opens accounts in your name, run up the tab and leave you with the bill. Still file a police report, it will give you credibility when the collectors from the fraudulent accounts start calling. You are going to need the police report when the creditors send you fraud packets as well so that you can verify that your identity was used without your permission. Time is of the essence, get on it now and you will save yourself a lot of time, money , and headache.

Go to the police dept. and file a report so that you have a paper trail when and if they do manage to get credit and run up huge bills. Also, call or go online to all the credit reporting agencies and tell them you want to put a stop on all your accounts and any future credit applications. That way they will have to contact you directly whenever someone applies for a new credit card.
Good luck.

Get to the credit bureaus and put a fraud freeze on your account RIGHT NOW ! You will end up with a code, so that when you want to apply, you unfreeze it for a few hours, then freeze it again.

Then do all what everyone else has stated to this point. Let the cops work on it.

You file the report with the info that you have. It's the job of the police to try to find who it is.

I assume you have already talked to the credit bureaus so they have an alert on your account.

Identity theft is a crime (so is unauthorized use of a computer) - speak to your local police department. She could just ruin the rest of your entire life.
