Limewire is protecting itself by telling you that what you are doing is illegal. There is a check to not display the message.

You probably won't find any songs with licenses on Limewire, and it won't affect you at all if you download them without. It's just that they are unprotected/pirated songs. I also reccommend you delete limewire and download frostwire. Limewire migrated offshores and opened frostwire because they (limewire) was being forced to add trackers, and since they didn't want to they moved offshores where they can't be controlled by the U.S. Government!

Its because since Limewire is illegal, the files don't have licences- they are just files off someone else's computer. If you are going to download anyway, just click "skip" or "OK" and proceed to download. Since these files are from someone else, not a record company, make sure you scan each song for a virus- it happens, and there are even rumors that the artists and record companies are attaching trojans and viruses to music to stop fans from downloading illegally.

with the newer versions of file sharing programs they are cracking down on copyright infringement
try to find a site that lets you download an older version. If you cannot, download Morpheus 5.2 or lower. When I had Limewire my computer slowed down so much but with Morpheus it is completely fine. The programs do the same thing and have the same results

With LimeWire you can search just legal files or all files:
Just select "audio" and as license, select 'blank' , "creative commons" or "weedshare" and search. You want to select 'blank' at the top of the menu.

not all of them say this. I know there are some songs which pop up and take you to a website to buy them. Some songs are provided by actual companies which require you to buy them, those you need a license for. If you go down the list you shouldnt have a problem.
