When I open a can of biscuits, if it doesn't pop, are they still good? When I put the biscuits in the oven, they seemed a little dry. Anyone out there that can answer my question?

Just the header made me laugh!!!
I would say that if it didn't pop then there was an air leak in the can before you started. If they were kept refrigerated then they are probably fine....just a littl flat.
Note; I have mistaken the pop for the bang i made when hitting the counter sometimes.

But all in all should be fine in my point of view.
Good Luck,

Popping doesn't guarantee much. Always just check the date. They can pop in the fridge on their own when REALLY expired. If you're getting frustrated with the cardboard can, all you have to do is just hit the edge of one end of the can onto the edge of a table or something. They should open up, even if it takes a few tries.

I agree with keizat, just because the can does not pop it does not mean they are old,it's just they were not enough pressure in the can to make them pop.Are you letting them sit out for awhile before cookoing them because if you are do not do that any more because that means they are trying to rise in that can and that's taking away space in the can.

They were probably expired. Check the date on one of the metal ends of the can.

(and what's a good Southerner like you doing w/ canned biscuits, anyway?!!? ;-)

Do they rise properly? maybe your over is hotter then it says, or they need to be taken out sooner?
