You are a very perceptive young woman. Yes, caffeine is addictive, and the sign of that is a headache upon withdrawal. Diet has caffeine too, I think. Do it gradually, not all at once. Just reduce your soda intake by 1/2 a can a day. Just throw the rest out. Then after a couple of days, try to eliminate the whole can. I just started drinking more water, and eventually I weaned myself off of caffeine. Good luck!

Yes, you have withdrawls from caffeine. You will get headaches that will go away in a few days after quitting caffeine. Try drinking caffeine free soda, tea and coffee.

It is tough to withdraw from caffeine. Usually takes about a week. First three days are really rough.
I am assuming you are talking about 3-5 caffeine drinks a day now. I would suggest you cut them down by reducing 1 per day. On the first day to quit drop from 5 to 4 or by 1---until you are not drinking any. Ok to sub a caf, sugar free for the first 3 days, and the drop then back if you choose after the first week. Coffee principal the same.
Take some headache med for headaches because you will probably have them. Good luck

Yes, you can have caffeine withdrawals! Caffeine is a stimulant, and though it is not dangerous in moderate amounts it is addictive and can cause complications if overused. I recommend slowly decreasing your intake and eventually the withdrawals will diminish. Caffeine can be found in many foods, so this can be more difficult than it sounds. Coffee, sodas, tea, and chocolate are common sources of caffeine, so avoid combinations of these foods. Especially avoid so called "energy drinks" which contain not only caffeine, but many chemicals that can aggravate your heart rate, cause insomnia, and may interact with other foods or medications.

Yes, you can have caffeine withdrawals. And it seems pretty reasonable that this is what you are describing. It's good to avoid caffeine. If you stick with it, the withdrawals will go away. You can do it!

caffeine is addictive. What you need to do is start to wean yourself off of it slowly, consume less and less until you are not consuming it at all. You know you should try to drink water or even maybe try crystal light. Something different, no caffeine and low or no calories.

absolutely possible, i've been through it.
headaches are the first (easy) symptom.
Diet soda still has caffeine. Pepsi and Coke ( and others) have decaffeinated versions, with all the calories.
