Don't boil them! Steam them!

Find the hugest pot you have w/ a domed lid. Fill w/ a couple inches of water and bring to a boil. Then place a wire cooling rack (like for cookies) over the pot, and place crab legs on rack. Cover w/ lid. Let steam about 10-15 min.

They're already cooked, you're just warming them up and/or thawing them.

They are already cooked when you buy them so you are just reheating them. One of the best ways believe it or not is to microwave them. Try this from Alton Brown.

6 Alaskan king crab claws, thawed
2 sprigs dill

If necessary in order to fit in microwave, cut claws at joints. Wrap 3 claws at a time in a damp paper towel, along with 1 sprig of dill, and then wrap in plastic wrap. Place wrapped claws in microwave 1 package at a time and cook on high for 2 minutes. Remove and unwrap carefully. Serve immediately.

And serve with;

Ghee Recipe courtesy Alton Brown

1 pound butter

Place butter in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring butter to boil. This takes approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium. The butter will form a foam which will disappear. Ghee is done when a second foam forms on top of butter, and the butter turns golden. Approximately 7 to 8 minutes. Brown milk solids will be in bottom of pan. Gently pour into heatproof container through fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Store in airtight container being sure to keep free from moisture. Ghee does not need refrigeration and will keep in airtight container for up to 1 month.

When I pass t o the great beyond I want to be marinated and cremated in Ghee.
