[17] The results show that an overwhelming majority of the males — 81% — began masturbating between the ages of 10 and 15. Among females, the same figure was a more modest majority of 55%. (Note that surveys on sexual practices are prone to self-selection bias.) It is not uncommon however to begin much earlier, and this is more frequent among females: 18% had begun by the time they turned 10, and 6% already by the time they turned 6.

As early as 3 to 5 years old.
Really, no age is too young. It's a natural thing that people do.
The reason why you're so young when you start is because little kids start exploring and they just do it because it feels good.
You can't be harmed while doing this in anyway and it's not a bad thing.
I can't remember when i started.
Maybe around 6 or 7.
l still do it occasionally.
It's nothing to worry about and you shouldn't be ashamed or guilty.
Everybody does it at one point in their life.

Depending on how you define masturbation the answer to the question will vary. Nevertheless, if you define masturbation as self fondling for the purposes of sexually derived stimulation you will find this behavior in infants under 2 years of age.
The age will increase, though not by much, if you include a need for active sexual fantasy. Perhaps around 4 or 5 years of age will suffice in this definition.

there is no age that is "too" young. Masturbation feels good at any age. But won't produce sperm if you start before your testicles begin producing it.
I've heard of guys as young as 7 and 8 doing it.

Many people start masturbating when they start puberty. It will probably be around 10-12 years old.

It'll just happen naturally. Like you'll touch it and say, "hey, this feels good!" My husband told me around 9 yrs old. I think women are later. Maybe 14 or so, or maybe not at all. :) btw, it's healthy.
