hi,
i would say you are sufering with depression. You may also be lacking in Iron. If you dont get the required dosage of iron a sure sign of this is wanting to sleep alot and feeling tierd, down and drained.
I would suggest you make anappointment to see your doctor so he can test your iron levels and give you something that will help.

Yes, it is very common for pregnant women to feel sleepy and, if they are able, to sleep a lot. This is particularly true early on, in the first trimester. Most women feel more alert in the second trimester. Some feel sleepy again in the third. Even so, it should be nothing like 18 hours a day. That much would probably be cause for concern. I would say that I would get about 8 or 9 hours a night and then around 3 PM would want a nap of 30-90 minutes.

Dear friend, ur description points to an urgent need to seek proper help.
As u have not mentioned ur age, duration of symptoms and it is certain u have not taken any professioanal help ....it is time u let someone help u.
Do speak to ur family members and arrange to see ur family physician who knows u and can help u.
Do speak up ur mind and hold nothing back.He may be able to help u himself,or refer u to a proper Therapist or Psychiatric facility depending upon the severity of ur case.
As I mentioned ur symptoms are severe enough and u need immediate help.
So, go ahead! U have taken the first step the next is easier. And with proper guidance and treatment there is an excellent chance of complete recovery if u happen to have a depressive illness.
Good luck.

Sleeping a lot and crying a lot are possible symptoms of depression. I recommend that you see a psychiatrist, who can appropriately help you to find out what's going on with you.
