I know sometimes people need a push to get them to the doctor, but alot of this might be frightning, jumping to such conclusions.

I love this web site. But you really DO have to take the answers with a grain of salt, because most of us are not doctors. I know I try to answer from experience, or taught knowledge, or common sense. Lots of times if they say "Get to a doctor ASAP," you might want to call the nurse or the pharmacist. Or just use your own common sense. But you can really learn a lot because there are litaerally millions of people reading your question. In Feb. alone, this site had over 42 million hits. So if you have something like shingles, you really can get a lot of helpful answers. Just don't let the mean idiots get to you. :)

It depends on the person who asked the question. Some people are easily frightened and will be super scared by such responses. Others will take them in context and glean whatever good material they can from the site. I think it's best to err on the side of caution, especially when it comes to one's health. And this website should never be used as a substitute for a professional's advice.
