OK first off, you are 13. You will probably still be developing for the next couple years...and maybe even beyond. Typically how you are at the end of high school is very close to how big you will actually get.
If anything, I'd say that you should talk to your doctor first...they can give you an idea of how fast you are actually developing. As far as taking immediate action, I would suggest sports. If you have the means, seek a personal trainer. Any good trainer will also keep in mind that you are still in puberty and will work a routine around that. They will also help you find the right things to eat so that you can prevent any unwanted problems in the future. No one here can really tell you how many calories you should be eating...because we don't know what your "habits" are...(as in sleeping, working out, work, school, etc.)
Good luck!!!

This may sound mean, but I am sure that some people may agree with me.
Please. Shut up and be proud of the body you're in.
Many people would die to have a body like yours!
If I were you, I would've joined my local gym right away instead of sitting infront of a computer screen moaning about it.
Oh yes, eat healthily! And have a bit of low-fat ice cream/yoghurt to treat yourself every now and then.
Also, buy the right clothes that look good, right and comfortable on you. Now you said that you were pearshaped. Look in fashion magazines such as 'Look' (sold every Tuesday in good Newsagents etc.. It's also very cheap!).
They have outfits for every shape, curvy, boyish and pearshaped.

When I was your age hun I was in the same predicament as you. Because of the tender age that you are I think the only sensible thing that you could do is start eating the low fat version of everythin. Instead of drinking full fat milk or semi skimmed milk have skimmed milk. Boil your eggs instead of frying them. Maybe try and walk to school. Cut down on sugary foods and have a piece of fruit as a snack. Drink plenty of water too because we usually mistake thirst for hunger. Hope this all helps. If you need some more tips email me :).

Stop worrying about it..
It depends on your height and age to know if you're overweight or not..try using a BMI chart to find out the correct weights for your age group etc.
http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/nutrition_fit/nutrition/bmi_charts.html
If you are still worried talk to someone about it and make sure you eat a healthy balanced diet!!
And the DRA(daily recommended allowance) for a 13 yr old is 1800-2000 calories, if you are consuming more than this make sure you watch what you eat and burn off those calories!!
Anything else just ask =]

Listen growing up is really hard but you have to think logically about this issue. First eat only when your hungry but do not wait until your dizzy. Thats dumb! Exercise until your hungry! Don't eat while watching TV! Walk the dog. The neighbors kids. Join a sports club! Be a cool individual and not a dumb follower! Have a good life!

I think you're weight is just fine, you're only 13 and you'll get taller. Just eat sensibly and talk to your Mum about this. Then maybe you could go on a healthy eating regime together but you shouldn't be concerned about calories just eat like a normal healthy teenager. Hope this helps.

Before starting any diet/exercise program, please discuss this with a doctor and/or a nutritionist. He/she can help you to make plans to have a healthy lifestyle. It's much better to be healthy than to worry about your looks. Also, you are young and your body is probably in a state of change right now...
