Depends on how you define "powerful."
I have several long-term warding spells around my property; powerful in terms of the protection they provide but not spectacular to see.
A justice spell resulted in arrest three days later, but the case is still pending.
Probably the most spectacular thing I've ever been a part of, one that made everyone involved go "wow", was about seven years ago when we literally stopped a tornado from dropping on top of our heads. We were sheltering in a parking garage, and we could actually see the funnel forming and dropping out of the wall cloud. Many of my pagan friends are experienced in raising power; we circled and directed the energy opposite the rotation. The funnel stopped dropping, slowed its spin, and eventually pulled back into the cloud. But my head felt bruised for a week--I WOULD NOT recommend trying this at home. We tried ONLY because it was such an emergency--weather work is tricky at best, requires a ton of power, and if you screw up you can cause a year's worth of climate problems.

Agreed for the most part. The only thing that really threw me off was how Voldemort said Avada Kedavra. Honestly, it sounded like he had said it right when someone punched him in the gut or something. You'd expect weakened Voldemort to be ANGRY, not whimpering in the forest all, "I thought that he would come." Since when does Voldie go on the defensive? Oh, and points to Mrs. Weasley for making the "*****" disintegrate.

As a child I was part of a network that worked to divert the buzz bombs from London.
Did we do any good.....neither we or you will ever know.

I once cast the Massive Fireball of Cornelius on a dragon. Unfortunately it was a fire dragon so I only got to do 1d10 damage.

I farted in the middle of the dance floor in a club and cleared about 50 people out. I was pretty impressed.
