Dogs don't commonly get ear mites so unless a vet has made a definate diagnosis that it is indeed earmites you should not be treating for them...there are several different ear infections taht dogs commonly get and all must be treated in a different manner..OTC products aren't a good idea to use..they can actually cause more trouble then they help with...take your dog to a vet get a proper diagnosis and receive the correct treatment.

There is a product called "Thornit" which is excellent for treating ear mites. Tap it in your search engine and you'll be able to read all about it.

I have used it on my dogs all my life. You just sprinkle a pinch inside the ear flap and rub the outer ear to make sure it has dispersed. After a couple of treatments the ears are as clean as a whistle.

Vets do supply this product but you can purchase it on line through www.hyperdrug.co.uk

You can clean the ears and perhaps check with the pet shops but the only sure cure I know is from the Vet. Don't wait too long, just imagine how you would feel if things were crawling around in your ears.

being a trained EMT wouldn't common sense dictate that your animal needs meds from a veterinarian???
