I've been an ordained minister since I was 18. It's not something that I'm uber serious about but I have performed a couple of weddings with it. Any suggestions on how to do more non-secular weddings and quick-weddings (Vegas style) with it? I'd like to make a little extra money while I'm in college. Any advice would be appreciated. **** No fundy chastising though... I care not.

The key is marketing. Get yourself some business cards and you may need to visit some local wedding shows.
Craigslist is a good place to start to. Maybe find some wedding message boards and wedding web sites and do some research to see what and how people are looking for an officiant.

Most people are married by either someone they know or someone the church/hall/caterer etc reccomends. So networking with other wedding professionals, such as consultants, musicians and banquet halls may also be helpful. Word of mouth is also a great advertiser.

Good luck!

how about if you put an ad on your local craig's list? if you charge less than others you will get a lot of business.
