First off thanks for serving!!!! Second if you are truly interested in the benefits that are available to you, then go to VA.gov and look up benefits. If you have a local DAV office near you, then go and they will give you a pamplet with all of the benefits you are eligible for. You can submit your DD214 along with a filled out application to get a certificate of eligibility for a home loan. Also you may be eligible for some education assistance depending on the state you reside in. To find out about that simply type in whatever state you are in and va benefits in a search engine and it should pull up your states va website. Also you can always call 1-800-827-1000 and ask a va represenative to help you. Good luck in your search.

By far the single most useful benefit would be a VA loan for a home. Check with your states, some states have additional befits that go along with the VA loan.

If you are interested in starting a business there is a chance to get a VA Small Business loan. But you need to know what you are doing with that.

That is about the sum of it. You could use your veteran status to join certain organizations like the American Legion.

At the very least you can get into VA if you had to.
I did eight months in Seattle VA/American Lake VA for rehab.
That is a ton of rehab.
Would not have been able to get that if I was not vet.
Were it not for VA I would be chronic street drunk with cardboard sign.
