There are many scholars who report that the Jewish Talmud cotains blasphemous teachings about Jesus and Christians.

No, it isn't and those scholars usually take things out of context and just quote what suits their purpose. I am Jewish and I am not against Christ...I just don't believe in his divinity. I'm not anti anyone; I'm pro-Judaism.

There is much unnecessary confusion regarding this matter. Toward the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century, the Talmud was censored at the direction of Jewish leaders, who obfuscated or removed passages that would cause Christian persecution of Jews. This was necessary because the invention of the printing process ignited a renewed interest in the study of the Talmud, which became widely available for the first time in history. In retrospect, this did more damage than good, since we now have Jews who deny Jesus is mentioned in the Talmud at all.

So today, most Jews I've spoken with insist Jesus was a bastard (born out of wedlock) -- which is actually a redacted teaching of the Talmud! This is clear proof that Jesus is, in fact, mentioned in the Talmud.

Jews no longer have to fear Christian persecution; in fact, Evangelical Christian Zionists, such as myself, wish nothing but the best for them. Therefore, it's time to admit the truth: Jesus IS mentioned in the unredacted Talmud.

While I'm not a Catholic (I'm non-denominational), I've found this narrative writtten in 1892 by a Catholic priest to be quite interesting: http://www.catholicapologetics.info/apologetics/judaism/talmud.htm

There is a lengthy introduction, then a section titled "Chapter 1: Jesus Christ in the Talmud" that may help you.

On a final note, I'd like to add that the Talmud is quite interesting and full of incredibly deep spiritual truth. As a Christian I do not believe in some of the teachings of these Jewish sages, whose quotes make up the Talmud. Yet, I've read passages that have absolutely blown me away with their beauty, wisdom and insight. This is NOT a book Christians should fear or speak out against. It is what it is -- a book of collected oral traditions and wisdom.

Nope- there are many anti-Semites that try to find references to Jesus and Christianity in the Talmud, and then fabricate them by misquoting or making up quotes- since in reality Jesus and Christianity are not discussed EVER in the Talmud. There are no references to Jesus or Christianity at all- they are completely absent.

Of course- many of these "scholars" use the same proofs as was used in an article in "De Sturmer"- the official publication of the Nazis in the 1930s. it should be telling you lots about those "scholars"

Rachel G is right. Most of the "scholars" are actually anti-Semites who either take things horribly out of context or mistranslate Hebrew deliberately. I've put a link below that exposes these frauds.

Now, having said that--if by blasphemy you mean denying that Jesus is the messiah then of course we do, but that's a given and obviously true of every non-Christian religion.

And why have you opened this account to post nothing but anti-Jewish questions? You haven't posted any answers on anything to your account.
