The Scripture verses state: "Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God."

The traditions of men say the Holy City was Jerusalem, but I say unto you that it is the kingdom of heaven, the promised land.

The temple had three main parts, the courts, the Holy Place (where only the priests could enter), and the Most Holy Place (where only the High Priest could enter, and once once a year, to atone for the sins of the nations - Leviticus 16 v 1-35.
The curtain separating the Holy Place fromthe Most Holy Place was torn in two at Christ's death, symbolizing that the barrier between God and humanity was removed. Now all people are free to approach God because of Christ's sacrifice for our sins - Hebrews 9 v 1-14, and 10 v 19-22.

the holy city is Jeruslem, how ever the bodies that were shook from the tomb were not ressurected persons, rmember Jesus wasn't ressurected till 3 days later. this is a scribal error used to try & promote their doctrine of saints being ressurected. consider what paul said

(2 Thessalonians 2:1-5) 2 However, brothers, respecting the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we request of YOU 2 not to be quickly shaken from YOUR reason nor to be excited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. 3 Let no one seduce YOU in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. 4 He is set in opposition and lifts himself up over everyone who is called “god” or an object of reverence, so that he sits down in the temple of The God, publicly showing himself to be a god. 5 Do YOU not remember that, while I was yet with YOU, I used to tell YOU these things?
