I'm in this club for school, and we have a Bonding Day every summer.
The Bonding Day was scheduled for next week.
We elected new officers for next year, but
they are extremely gave us a week notice, but the new ones haven't.
I don't know any of them either, but I have their numbers.
Should I call them and ask them if they started planning
the Bonding Day yet?

If it is rude, how would I approach it so
it doesn't seem rude?

There's nothing wrong with calling someone you don't know in a situation like this. Just introduce yourself. You could say something like, "Hi, I don't think you know me, but my name is such-and-such, and I go to your school. I understand that you are an officer of the such-and-such club. I really appreciated Bonding Day activities in previous years and I was hoping to find out if there were any Bonding Day plans for this year that I could attend."
If they haven't started planning yet, you can even offer to help with the plans, if you'd like. At any rate, your call may motivate them to get the activity going, since you have expressed interest.

I hate to break it to you, but this is how people get to know each other.
It takes some practice talking to strangers, and most people feel a little uncomfortable doing it. If they are officers part of their assumed responsibility is to answer questions from new members, so it is perfectly appropriate to call them and ask about the Bonding Day.
Who told you you were antisocial?

Yes. but say that you are part of the club and find out about them etc. Then maybe ask them if they had any ideas for the bonding day yet?

It isn't wrong to call someone you don't know, especially if it is the objective to "get to know them."
As for you not being "social" during the summer. Maybe this Bonding Day will allow you to grow out of that.
Good Luck

It's fine. Because you're a schoolkid you probably only call your friends on the phone, but as you get older you'll end up having to speak to complete strangers all the time.
Start now, it'll be a good learning experience. Speak slowly, clearly and with authority - and you will gain their respect straight away.

Go ahead, it's not that big of a deal. Not an intrusion. The youth today live with cell phone attached. Calls are expected. One problem with humans is that we assume, assume someone else is taking care of it. Take the initiative. Do it. Be polite.

Since you are calling for a specific reason, as long as you call during acceptable hours (not during meals or late at night, early morning) you should be fine. Keep the call short and friendly.

You should get used to it......actually.... Many telecommunicators call hundreds of people they don't know every day, just earning money for school. The people they call, they don't know, they are only on a list for them to call.
Aggrevating, yes, but a no call listing, YES!!!!!!
People have no problem doing it for a job, why can't you call people you "somewhat" know?

It's not wrong or rude at all to call someone you don't know: I do it all the time when I am bored, just dial random numbers looking for someone to talk to. All those wrong numbers you get--that's me : )
