Atman, that's the everlasting and limitless center of each and every actual being or self and is God Brahman ,is the main suited distinction; Buddhism rejects this(Anatman)yet teaches that each and every person have a Buddha nature and doubtlessly can replace into Buddhas(Enlightened or awakened Ones) Buddhism has no caste equipment(some forms of Hinduism not do the two) Buddhism claims a founder and Hinduism would not Buddhists would have gods in the event that they opt for yet such won't be able to save you considering that in basic terms you are able to attain enlightenment and Hinduism sees the function and worship of the gods/God as significant in moksha( yet there are forms of Hinduism that don't) the two have reincarnation, karma and Nirvana and dharma additionally, there are people who're concurrently the two Hindu and Buddhist Buddhism has the 4 Noble truths, the Eightfold direction and the 5 Precepts and Hinduism has the regulations of Mani Hinduism has the Vedas, the Epics Mahabarata and Ramayana and the Upanishads that are older than the Buddhist Pali Canon and the sutras

It depends on the sect that you are reffering to. My sect, Theravada Buddhism, has almost nothing in common with Hinduism. We are mostly agnostic, and believe that suffering arises from attachment to material things which change and fade away. Mahayana Buddhism does have more in common with hinduism, as the bodhisattvas do somewhat resemble the Hindu deities, and the devas and asuras are also present in both faiths. Also, keep in mind that Buddha himself was raised as a Hindu, and that some of his ideas were inspired by Hinduism.

Buddhism has no god concepts. The Buddha did away with the Caste System. But they both have to do with transformation through realization. The Buddha appeared to have a problem with religious notions.

Another thing is Hindism believes in Atman, the universal self. The Buddhist believe in Anatman, the idea that there is no 'Self' to be found.

buy their books if you are interested....anyway Buddhism follow the teachings of Buddha and supposedly they don't have gods except for some regions which are affected by Hinduism in India and Srilanka where they believe in some Hindu gods. While Hinduism is the belief in mystical mythical animals and gods like the elephant god, monkey god etc etc.

Buddhism is about escaping your "self". the cause of all suffering. Hinduism is completely opposite, connecting to the one self of the universe. They have conflicting views. To Hindus, the self is the key to inner understanding and acceptance of one's place in the world, to Buddhists, self is an illusion, which brings out the worst in people.

They are nothing alike.

Hinduism is the oldest known religion who's scriptures have been confirmed using geology. In all likelihood elements are unchanged since the ice age.

Buddhism is a very recent development and is about enlightenment. There are no Gods in Buddhism.

Blessed Be!
