well Julie when your 52 years old and the wife can't stand you anymore and the doctor won't let you drink,and eat only 1800 calories a day I can watch football and play golf that all i have left

The point is to compete and win. If you play sports, then you should know. If you don't, then there's no point in explaining.
The thing I like about golf (besides the nature thing) is that unlike basketball (which I also play), you have no one to blame but yourself when things start going badly. In basketball, if you're having an off day, there's 4 other people (and possibly the bench) to lift your team. In golf, it's all you. Either step up your game, or suffer through the rest of your round. Another thing is the focus that's required. After walking 18 holes, I feel tired physically and mentally. I never feel mentally tired playing ball.

The best thing I like about Golf is being within the nature. It's like walking through a park for a couple of hours, whack a ball the fewest times into 18 holes and see if you can get any better at certain shots. It get's more addicting the better you get at it.
