I waited almost 50 years before I found the right one...
And it was worth the wait...
When you find the right one, you will know...Don't try to "convince" yourself of it; listen to your heart...

If you realise in yerself that there is someone else for you and you have not found that person - then it becomes a lifetime search for the ultimate in yer life. Fulfulling that element is not an everyday affair - so take it as it comes - it may take more years than you might expect. Relax, don't put a clock on time - it won't help you. If there is a destiny for you and its in for the right one then it might take longer than yer patience has. Don't get bogged down by offers of false hopes.
If you find the right one it is said that you will know it!

The real question is when you stop waiting then what? If you're waiting for this "right one" then what do you do when stop waiting? Are you closing the door and no longer open to the idea of a "right one"? Are you now going to actively look instead of waiting? Or do you actually in reality keep waiting but you no longer call it waiting?

Dragon,
As long as it takes (if they really are the right one) they should be worth the wait!

That's the wrong question. The real question is why would you hook up with someone who is not really a good match? Please don't settle for someone because you think you're running out of time. That's a horrible decision. You wind up making 2 people miserable. Just be patient. When the right person comes along for you, you'll know.

I am 15, and I already beleive I may have found mine. She is just amazing, but I have to wait a while. However she is my best friend, and she feels the same about me. So we just hang out. I would wait 1000 summers for her. She is one of a kind.

Until I'm fed up and can't take it anymore, then I will go out with any random girl that I'm attracted to. I have been waiting for too long now and it doesn't seem that I'm finding anyone. I don't want to wait until I'm old.

If we're talking about relationships, I would say that its not as much as waiting as it is never settling. When you look at it that way, then it doesn't matter how long it takes, because you'll end up with the one you want!

Rather spend time waiting for the right one than waste time being with the wrong one

I had to wait 39 years and then I met her online.
Wouldn't you know she was in Australia.
And she came to the USA to help me while I was recovering from breaking my leggs.
I followed her bacK to Australia and married her.
We are planning on moving back to the USA soon.
(Been married over 4 years now)
One must be ready to go to the ends of the earth for true love
