Craps has the lowest dealer advantage. A pass line bet in Craps with a free odds wager (a very simple wager) can get the House Edge down below 1%.

If you learn and understand the basic strategy and correct plays for blackjack, you can cut the house advantage down to below 1% as well.

No Vegas games have odds that in the long run will let you win. Blackjack is the game which gives the player the best odds, but the house still holds something like a 4-4.5 % advantage.

Now, you could go play in the poker rooms. There you play against other players so you don't have to worry about a house advantage, but if you are not too skilled at the game, you might be better off playing some other games.

If you play any of the casino games long enough, you will lose. When you play, it should be for entertainment using money you would use for any other form of entertainment. When it's gone, you are done with that entertainment. The only difference is once in a while you wind up with more entertainment money than you started with (but not too often).

Bottom line though, blackjack gives you the best odds of winning in a casino.

Probably the best game is blackjack, but there's a catch. You have to be really good at blackjack. Just knowing basic strategy isn't always enough. The house edge will vary wildly, and if you don't know what rules give or take your advantage, then you can be much worse off than you think. If you do play Blackjack anyways, atleast make sure you can double on any 2 cards, blackjack pays 3 to 2, and dealer stands on all 17's. Try to be able to resplit aces as well, and NEVER play double exposure (dealer takes pushes which is a HUGE edge) Baccarat is one of the other top three card games, and is actually quite simple. Always bet the banker no matter what, and the house has a relatively small edge. In reality the player has the edge, but the house takes a 5% commission on winning hands. Pai-Gow poker is the last of the top 3 card games, but is relatively complicated to play, and it may be difficult to find a house in Vegas that doesn't take commission. Roulette can be a good time, and is easy to play as well. There are only 4 bets to look at on a roulette table, and that's Red, Black, Even or Odd. Your edge is the same on all of them. Craps seems like an intimidating game, but in reality is quite simple. The best edge you can get is to simply play the pass line. If you do that and make no other bets, you have some of the best odds you can get anywhere. Just make sure that it's standard craps and not one of the ridiculous variations that are popping up all over. For slots, just make sure if you play that you get a 99%+ return machine. The Palms had a 100% return on some machines for a while (meaning the house pays back 100% of what it takes, and that's right, they make no money on these particular slots, they're just to draw people to their casino). Try to aim for lower jackpot payouts, as those machines tend to hold a smaller percentage towards the jackpot. Really, that's about it. The best bet is to never play "sucker bets" or "side bets" and if you play blackjack, never buy insurance. Without being a blackjack pro, your highest edge will be on craps on the pass line. But most of all, remember to have a good time, and any gambling money should be expected to be lost, or you'll be dissapointed. Remember that casinos are there for entertainment, and they're opened for a reason, and that reason isn't because they pay people :)

Craps! Craps ! Craps! People say blackjack because they know nothing about other games.

The odds bet at the craps table is the only bet in the casino with no house edge. The pass line or don't pass line plus odds is way lower than blackjack; it's not even in the same league. If you find a 10 times odds table (which are NOT hard to find off the strip) the house edge will be around .001%, whereas the house edge at blackjack is close to 1%. If the play at Casino Royale and have the scratch to play max odds (which are 100 times!!!) you can cut the house edge to .0001%. That might as well be even money. Even if you play double odds at a $5 table ($5 pass line plus $10 odds), you're getting better odds than blackjack, and you're going to lose money slower than at a blackjack table, unless you start throwing money on the other bets on the table. Craps is actually the slowest playing table game in the casino if you stick to the pass line or don't pass line.

If you want to spend less and still get better odds than blackjack, place equal bets on the pass and don't pass line at the same time, then simply place however much you want on the odds (either side) after the point established. 1 out of 36 rolls you will lose your pass line bet when a 12 hits, but the rest of the time you are essentially playing with no house edge.

Roulette has a huge house edge, as do most of the newer games (like 3 card poker, carribean stud, casino war, etc) so do not play them if you want to win. The only other games worth playing are blackjack and baccarat, in that order.

No game has good odds for a player, except poker (if you know the math) and blackjack if you count cards perfectly (and even then it will take a long time to win a little bit of money).

The least bad are craps, blackjack and baccarat.

In addition to considering the odds, you also need to consider how many bets you'll make.

In craps, the dice are rolled several times in a minute. So, even if you lose a small amount on each roll, you could end up losing a large total amount.

In blackjack, if you have a full table, you might bet once every 90 seconds.

Baccarat is about as exciting as betting on a coin flip.

If you really want to win, you should play tournaments. At least the amount of your potential losses is fixed, and your potential winnings are relatively large.

Craps and Blackjack if played optimal has the lowes house edge.

Learn to play poker if you want any chance at ever winning consistantly. The house makes their money off of a rake. You play against other players, so if you can beat the rake and other players you can win money.

Blackjack - when played with a basic strategy card (link below) the odds are around 0.5% in the house favour which is about as low as you will find.
