When a cat is one, he/she is 15 in human years.
The oldest can go up to 21 years, which is 100 is human years!

With good health care an indoor cat can live 20-30 years old! Outdoor cats mostly live less than that because of the dangers outside and the likelyhood of contracting a disease.
My next door neighbour's cat is 26, he doesn't do too much, but he's a great cuddler! Mine are young yet.

The record right now is 36. I've had cats up to nearly 20 years old and my vet says she sees a lot of 21 and 22 year old cats in her practice.

I've heard of cats living up to 17 or 18 years

20-22. But most start having serious health problems or die at 15. The record is 38 years I think, but that's just happened like once or twice!

We had a cat growing up & he was inside only ... lived to 20 ... we had to put him down b/c he had cancer & severe arthritus ... if we'd of had the $, we'd of kept him going another 10 - 15 years. Sadly, no money to help him w/ the cancer. He was great!
