I'm so sick of everyone peeing on the toilet seat and not wiping it off. That's why it's so gross to sit on toilet seats. If we would all just sit on them, there would be no need to worry.

exactly! if everyone sit on it like the way it was meant to be, then we will not have dirty toilet seats to sit on. n i absolutely hate to clean some dirty toilet seats after some morons dirtied it. i will rather not pee then if the toilet seats are dirtied.

I sit. It's a waste of energy to "hover." If the bathroom is truly that disgusting that you don't want to plant your booty on the seat, cover the seat in some toilet paper.. or try to find a different bathroom. Even in clean public restrooms, I still use a bit of toilet paper to wipe the seat off before I sit. It seems like nowadays, everyone's a germophobe. You won't die from sitting on a toilet seat.. and if you do... you chose the wrong toilet.

Hover for #1, cover & sit for #2. I always look & in the *very* rare case I've left a drop I'll take some toilet paper and wipe it off... doesn't happen often though, it's not that hard to aim, I've never peed all over the seat. But maybe some people are so germaphobic they try to stay too high/far off when hoovering?

I sit after checking/wiping the seat. As for sanitation, it has been proven that the chances of "procuring" any disease from a toilet seat is slim to none. Your skin, which is the part of your anatomy which actually comes in contact with the seat, is your entire body's first line of defense against invading germs/bacteria. Generally speaking, it does a great job, too!!! If you maintain your general hygene (shower/bathing) the germs you might aquire on the skin's surface on your.... um... derrierre... is nothing to worry about. In fact, urine itsellf is sterile, it has no bacteria/germs whatsoever. It is the... um... "#2" ... that you should most concern yourself with.

However, in general, some light "splashing" ... especially if you wipe it off with some "TP" ... is nearly harmless. Disgusting to some... but not dangerous.

Have a great day!

Sometimes the flush splashes onto the seat. Anyway if there are no seat protectors I usually just lay down some strips of toilet paper. Much easier than squatting and falling over...

I defintiely squat.

Even sitting on a "dry" toilet seat can contain harmful bacteria that we cannot see with the naked eye.

Public restrooms are just that, public. And thats alot to worry about.

most of the time I squat and I am one of the people who misses and makes it gross except that I clean it off when I am done. I often get brave and just sit on the toilet though and so far I don't think I have any diseases.

I so agree with you. I like to sit on it. Luckily, where I'm at, the seats are very clean. Sometimes I see shoe marks on the seat, then I won't sit on it. I will do a half stance.
