Doesnt mean I should not get one right? I like them. As long as they are not tacky. If he knew what I was getting he might like it. But I havent offered up what Im getting, since hes not asking. I think my idea is a good idea and unique. I didnt really have a question on my previous tattoo post.

that is a tough question. it depends on your marriage and what boundaries you have. if you were absolutely against something that he wanted to do, how mad would you be if he did it? marriage is definitely give and take and tattoos are very permanent. sit down and talk to him about it. since it's so important to you you need to bring it up. he is going to avoid it as much as possible.

I am covered in tattoos and my fiance is catching up so we don't have this issue. If she did have an issue with me getting tattooed I would take it into serious consideration since this is my partner for life and while it is my body, it is a permanent decision for both of us. If you don't have any already and it is going to be a big issue for him I would have some serious discussion and thought before getting one.

My husband doesn't like them either, but I still have one. I had mine put on my back so it is not seen unless I want it to be seen. The tattoo I got was personal and something I had to do. I got the first part in May and will finish it in September. When I decided to do this I talked to him and explained what I was getting and why. Again this was something that I had to do for me. He finally understood. He still doesn't like them, but we don't fight about it either.

Well I would say go for it, but how would you feel if you really didn't like something and he went and did it permanently. If it is really important to you he will get over it, but since he hates tats getting one to symbolize him is pretty stupid.

i have the same problem. i had a tattoo when i met him tho. i dont get why getting another would be such a big deal. like i told him, he can go with me to get another or not. either way im still going to get one. after all, its my body.

Well... Its kind of a half and half.
You should respect your husbands decision... You dont want him to do something that you dont approve of.
BUT... its also your decision not only his you have the freedom to express yourself any way you want.
