He didn't actually claim it. He was called a Christ-like figure by David Miscavige, the "CEO" of Scientology, so to speak.

Here's the article: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007030603,00.html

And I don't "hate" Cruise, I just think he's crazy and brainwashed. I also think Scientology is a dangerous cult.

I don't think he claimed that title. I was not aware of there being a Christ in Scientology. I'm pretty sure there are a few other religions which do have a Christ though.

I like Tom Cruise because he stands up for what he believes in, he has enabled many groups to get up and running within education.

He personally got a centre set up to help the emergency crews from the Twin Tower collapse.

He has made and was in some really good movies, like The Last Samurai and Top Gun.

If Tom Cruise said that I would be a bit more freaked out by him. His comparing himself to Christ is ridiculous. Tom Cruise is a nut case and I can not get behind Scientology. If you have done any research on the subject you would realise that L. Ron Hubbard invented this so called religion as a means to make money and its based on some ridiculous principles. Now if Scientology can help you to overcome anything then why did Hubbard commit suicide because he was ill? Makes you wonder...

I love Tom Cruise. I think he should come to Jesus Christ & repent for not believing in Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.

Scientology doesn't write about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the atonement for our sins & the resurrection.

So? How could Tom Cruise say he is the Christ of Scientology. That would make him a false/anti Christ. All cults reject the power of the cross & have their own Messiah. But the false Messiah will end up in hell unless person repents. I am too concerned about this.

Also, Jesus said that many would come claiming to be the Christ & deceive many. So? Christians should pray for Tom Cruise salvation. The conscequences of this thinking that they are the Christ, is hell, for leading people away from the true Jesus Christ. When Jesus comes back to rule, everyone will see Him. Everyone will know who Yeshua Messiah Is.

Shouldn't L. Ron Hubbard be the Christ of Scientology and Tom Cruise would be the Jerry Falwell?

Anything that Tom Cruise says about Scientology is as believable as being able to drink toxic waste without developing any type of health problems.

I don't like Tom Cruise at all...mostly because he is Tom Cruise and comes across as an arrogant, controlling little pig.

I hadn't heard that. As far as I'm concerned, Tom Cruise was already the Clown Prince of Bizarre.
