For example, if you meet someone far away, do you develop feelings for them based on the way they look or act? What causes feelings to go deeper? Is it when you confess something? Or when someone gives you your space, or when someone thinks you are the hottest thing in the world? What turns you on in that situation? If you decide to meet the person, what helps in the meantime determine if you might develop feelings, is it impossible to tell before meeting?

For me it was the openess and sincerity .. the listening ear and the ability to understand and put things in perspective, shedding new light on situations that had shackled me for years. Obviously if you have never seen the other person in the flesh then trust, sentiment, philosophical outlooks and a sense of fun are major building blocks

To even think you can stand a chance of getting along with someone so far away, is in itself a beautiful conception. I was just in awe. The worlds your oyster I guess.

I'm a firm believer that humans are a "touchy-feely" species, meaning that for successful relationships to foster, personal contact is required, at least at the onset.

From what I've seen from people who get into long distance relationships, the appeal of not having to be with the person is a big plus. No one you have to go see on a regular basis, which makes it easier to live your life.

However, I think that a good number of people get into long distance online relationships simply for the ego boost. If a person finds you attractive in a photograph miles away, then maybe a good looking person close by will find you attractive as well.

But having been in the military and watched people get into long distance relationships, and married people going through the separation that happens on a regular basis, I don't think they work simply because humans need other human interaction, especially when emotions are involved.

Ive been in a long distance relationship for a while now. we lived together but then both had to go back to our home countries :(. the way she acts and is a nice person is what has made me fall more in love with her and as a bonus she is very beautiful!

only u know if u are developing feelings so i guess its a case of u trusting your heart (and judgment) and not doing anything stupid. good luck to u, and despite what people say, long distance relationships arent impossible. especially when u plan to move nearer within the next couple of years.

The idea of having sex with them. Well, you asked. Bet not all the guys will admit it though. They'll be telling you about deep emotional things. Nah!!
