Just change your wheels, I am trying out a set of XERO LITE XR1 and I am impressed!!! only cost me £200! Check out out how light they are?

With regard to the drive train; I personally prefer Ultegra, the cost of replacement parts is cheaper, they are more hard wearing than Dura-Ace and the difference in performance is negligible. Stick with a standard roadie cassette 12-25. I am a big fan of compact chainsets so you could save money by buying a non groupset compact.

Brakes have evolved bigtime! And most road brakes are adequate.

As for tyres, Michelin pro-race are favourites, try out the krylion carbon though, its a good all rounder.

I am currently riding Vredestein Fortezza tri-comp, and again I am impressed!

Hope this helps mate

In terms of wheels I am a big fan of the Mavic line of Ksryium wheels. I think they are light, strong, and reliable as heck. They are a good everyday riding wheel.

In terms of parts, look at Shimano stuff. They have three grades of upper end road parts - 105, Ultegra, and Dura Ace. Dura Ace is the top of the line. It is what many pro teams ride in races like the Tour de France. Ultegra is a little heavier version of Dura Ace. It is not as precise but it is a seriously good value right now.
