No foreign power has a base here but we do train many foreign nationals here. Sheppard is hope of Euro-NATO pilot training. Maxwell is home of the International Officer School. There are a few other, but not base owned by a foreign power.
Many of our bases were spoils of war and established after WWII. Other bases where we are located with our allies like GB are still owned by that country.

No, there are foreign nationals on our bases for various reasons, and technically, Chyanne Mountain is a joint US/Canadian organization, but no, most of our bases that are overseas were established after the Second World War, in places we either occupied (Germany, Japan), or places where we were helping locals (Korea), or where it made sense to have them, because they were nearer to our enemies at the time (Great Britain, Turkey).
There are no foreign military installations on US soil

You were correct.
There are embassies, but they aren't even close to being a military base.
You were also correct about our military bases. We have many; Kuwait, Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc.
Apparently we are the U.S. so we don't have to play fair.
Telling other countries not to have nukes when we have over 10,000 of them. Same thing.
Great question!

"The only stupid question is one that isn't asked".
Not that I'm aware of. There are foreign military personnel in the United States, but they either belong to an embassy or are in training in a US installation.
upthcrek: Heh..you notice that it's usually military personnel that know the truth about stupid questions?

There is a German Luftwaffe training base co-located with our Holloman Air Force Base near Las Cruces, New Mexico. They display the German flag on the flag pole outside their headquarters and they play the German National Anthem (Deutschland Uber Alles) when raising and lowering the flag.
And you're right. It is fair. We have several air bases on German soil and they are, after all, a member state of NATO.

no we train soldiers of other countries here but no other country has a military base on American soil. the reason that we have bases all over the world is well let's put it this way spoils of war. we freed the Europeans from the grips of Hitler the price for that is American bases all over Europe. plus many countries welcome the American bases to bolster the economy in specific regions. we have never had our country invaded nor do we need the bolstering of or economy so no one puts a base on American soil.
