I am a huge fan of Alton Brown. I watch his show Good Eats every night at 11pm. Does anyone else stay up to watch the show? My favorite episode was about potatoes, lol. Maybe it's an irish thing, I don't know. What was your favorite?

Wow, some pretty passionate fans out there. I love what I'm reading. I am glad I asked this question. A lot of people like the garlic show. I have to admit, so did I. How to make chessecake was on last night. I'm going to try it out on Saturday. Have you watched him on the Next Food Network Star? He's amazing and no one, I mean no one could challenge him about the knowledge of food.

I don't have a favorite that means I would have to pick just one of Altons shows and I can't do that.

OMG I love Alton Brown too. When I used to work for a grocery in Atlanta I used to see him all the time and 5 yrs later he was a Food Network star. I had conversations w/ him all the time I managed a deli. I think he's great how he gives a scientific spin on the culinary arts My boyfriend think he's wierd but me & my daughter watch him all the time

I also really like Good Eats. While the wacky characters are entertaining, what I really enjoy about the show is that he teaches you about technique and ingredients rather than just giving you recipes. I have probably learned more from that show than any other on food network (though I have taken more inspiration from Iron Chef).

Favorite episode? Hmm. Either squid or garlic.

I watch him every night at 7 and then again at 11. Sometimes I see the 2 AM show, too : )

My favorite episode was the fried food one (Pack of Wild Corn Dogs, burgers, etc.)

I love him on Iron Chef; nobody can beat him with food knowledge. I thought he came across as a bit of a jerk on Food Network Star, though...

Have you read the book "How to Read a French Fry"? It's the science behind his show. Awesome book.

My favorite episode was the one on chili. They played cowboy and went to the grocery store. It was a hoot! But I pretty much love any episode where they make an assistant wear a costume. (Like the grain of rice costume.)

I absolutely love Alton Brown. I never could cook a steak right (not on a grill, in a pan.) I could never get that perfect medium rare. Then when he showed his method, I was able to do it exactly right, and delicious!! He must have save me hundreds of dollars in going out to eat money, now my husband won't pay for a steak in a restaurant because he says mine is better!! THANKS ALTON!!!

No, I AM his biggest fan!
Love the Asian lady character in the kitchen gadget store. In real life she is his Chiropractor! Love his purposefully weird camera angles, right?
Favorite show is where he's searing Ahi tuna. "You need a jet engine to do that!" and uses the charcoal lighter tube!
He's inventive and original. And funny. Did you know he used to be a film maker?
