I was wondering how I can loose 6 pounds by monday? I need to loose 6 pounds for a military weigh in and I just need to loose water weight just enough to where I am 240 pounds I am 246 pounds right now. What can I do?

Although I think this is disgusting, this is how wrestler's at my high school lose weight quickly to get in a lower weight class. They wear many layers of thick clothes and run laps around the indoor pool which is extremely humid. They lose the weight, but do damage to their bodies in the long run, at least that's what I think. If you do it once it won't hurt you, but don't make a habit of it! good luck...

you haven't given yourself enough time, maybe if you had a month and lose it the healthy way without making yourself sick if you try to lose it too fast like some of these others are suggesting.

here are some healthy tips , please try doing it the healthy way!
if you want to weight 180 pounds, then eat 1800 calories - good balanced diet and exercise, drink water ( minimum daily requirements is 8 - 8oz glasses)

weight 165 pounds - 1650 calories ;
weight 160 pounds - 1600 calories ;

our bodies need a good balance of a variety of foods, a good 7 grain bread ; nuts ; raisins ; fruits ; cereals - the kinds that are not full of sugars ; green veggies ; yellow veggies ; beans / legumes ; peanut butter - a good one that's not full of sugar ; as for meats - chicken ; fish - salmon is best - tuna is also good ; beef - which has less than 20% fat content ; you can spice foods up with seasonings and make them taste better, but be very careful of how much salt you eat - always less than 3000 mg daily , if you average it to 1,000 mg per meal that would be best. And don't forget to drink your water, the water helps the body flush all the bad stuff from our system and keeps the body / organs functioning properly.

no soda pop / cokes ; coffee ; tea - unless its herbal tea ; no beer / alcohol ; no chips / cookies / cakes / pies / candy's ;

get at least 30 minutes of walking in a day - a good fast walk rather than a slow one, the average speed of a good fast walk is 4 miles an hour - so 2 miles in half an hour , but if you are not used to walking fast it will take your body time to get used to it and get that fast, and don't over do it, you don't want to pass out - set a pace, if you need to stop and take a 5 minute rest.

walking is the absolute best exercise for our bodies!

Dont listen to these saps! Take water pills. No effort, except swallowing a dumb pill. You can lose up to 8-10 pounds FAST this way. (its the same as making yourself sweat to lose water weight, except with this you pee out the excess water) Im sure like 1000000000 people are going to say, "Thats dangerous!" but they sell them over the counter at walmart! And just read the warning label, you'll be alright. I have a lot of fat friends in the military and they all took water pills for weigh ins. Also, I take water pills on occasion...Never had a problem with it.

This is going to sound wacky, but drink more water. When you're dehydrated, your body holds on to water. Also, cut the salty foods, and any processed or restaurant meals. Eat more veggies and lean protein.

However, don't be surprised if you don't lose the entire 6lbs in 5 days - it's not exactly possible.

with this new diet I'm on that was featured in the First magazine I lose two lbs everyday......but then on weekends I eat what I want in moderation......it's an enzyme diet

Upon rising: 1 glass of hot water with lemon
Breakfast/Lunch: A huge 10cup bowl of mixed fresh fruit
3PM:1 can of V8
Dinner: A sensible one

Do what we call a juice fasting. Buy yourself all kinds of vegetables, get yourself a blender and make some juice. Do not eat anything whatsoever. You are allowed to drink water. Do not add sugar to anything that you drink. Only salt if you need it.

its not really possible to lose those 6 pounds safely by monday. just work out, eat healthy, drink water..and you'll lose as much as possible till monday
